Treatment with Metal and Transparent Brackets
In the treatment of crowded teeth, first the problem is detected through a number of detailed analyses (lateral cephalometric, 3D intraoral modeling and photographic examinations). Diagnosis is important and represents 50% of the treatment. The objective is decided according to the personal problems. The individual method of treatment to be applied specifically to the patient is decided to achieve this objective. Primarily, any broken tooth or gingival diseases in the mouth is fixed. To work more comfortably while attaching braces, the mouth is enlarged using an apparatus called dental retractor. To have dry teeth while attaching braces, instruments to isolate the saliva are used. In the conventional method, individual braces are attached to every tooth for which teeth are roughened. Then, brackets are ensured to integrate with the teeth using a special glue.
Orthognathic Surgery
Orthognathic (jaw) surgery is a method of treatment administered by orthodontics and jaw surgery branches of dentistry to improve both functionality (chewing, speaking) and aesthetic appearance in the patients with severe jawbone abnormalities. 3D images of the patients the orthodontic treatment of which has been completed are taken to plan the surgical operation. The patient who had a recovery period of 1 month after orthognathic surgery operation would have an orthodontic treatment process of 6 to 12 months remai ned, as a final step. This treatment is a final treatment guaranteeing the permanent position of the teeth after the initial orthodontic and corrective surgical procedure performed. It is a surgical procedure used in those who have severe jaw bone disharmony and a corrective procedure used for adult patients who have a complete bone development. This procedure which can be performed for on both jaw bones when needed, is applied to the patients who have severe chewing, closing and speaking problems in facial area and problems about respiratory functions due to the disharmony of jaws and have aesthetic concerns about the facial area due to the jaws positioned too far forward or too far back. Correctly closing jaws and ideal rows of teeth have positive results in the appearance of the patient. Better speaking, chewing, and breathing functions results in an improved quality of life.
